Paul Sanderson has been appointed Secretary of the United Kingdom Security Shredding Association, replacing Simon Ellin who retires at the end of March.

In this role, he will oversee the work of UKSSA alongside that of The Recycling Association, for which he becomes chief executive.

Paul said: “I look forward to working closely with the United Kingdom Security Shredding Association and its Members on their priorities. I’m excited to build on Simon’s work to raise the profile of UKSSA and promote its high standards.”

Paul has worked in the recycling sector for almost 20 years since joining MRW magazine in 2004. He currently runs the recycling news and information service, REB Market Intelligence, and has provided communications and consultancy services to The Recycling Association since 2015.

As Secretary, he will oversee the management of UKSSA including liaising with auditors, approving certifications, organising meetings, marketing and business development.
