Shred Station celebrates 15 years of business

Shred Station celebrated 15 years of business this week after what it described as a ‘record-breaking’ year of sales.
Over 100 of the company’s employees travelled across the UK to meet at the International War Museum in Duxford where they celebrated with a company photoshoot and the chance to take in some of our nation’s history.
This milestone is a major achievement for Shred Station, which started off 15 years ago with just one shredding vehicle. The company now boasts a fleet of over 100 eco-friendly vehicles and employs 170 members of staff.
“I’m really pleased with the company’s performance. Year on year, we have increased our turnover by around 30%. This is on track with where we wanted the business to be and puts us on a good growth trajectory to hit our targets in the coming years,” said Simon Franklin, Managing Director and founder of Shred Station. “I couldn’t have done it without the staff and customers”.
This news comes in the wake of many recent initiatives and accomplishments announced by the company, including:
- Surpassing £21.6 million in turnover in 2022.
- This year celebrating five years of being a CarbonNeutral® certified company.
- Planting 10,067 new trees in 2022 through staff fundraising and company activities.
Shred Station said it is also currently working to offset all historic emissions and hopes to be the first shredding company in the UK to achieve lifetime carbon neutrality with net-zero emissions.
